It is a LOCATION that offers degrees and programs from colleges in MD: Univ of MD, Univ of Balt County, Towson and other schools. No dorms. Maybe like a UMBC back in the day without dorms(??).

Yes, but most have an expectation that you’ve done an associates degree prior, because most programs only offer junior/senior level courses. You apply to the school directly (aka UMD vs UMBC vs Towson) bc each school offers some degree programs. And like pp says your degree has thr name of that school, no mention of shady grove. Campus is buildings, no housing. Can be a really cost effective way to earn a degree.

my professors at this location were teaching at both campuses. One would rotate semesters because they liked teaching people who worked vs typical college students.

Great way to save time and money.

It started out as a way to soak $$ from wealthy but non-Traditional students from MC. It's sort of succeeded at that, locals with money can take classes close to home at "UMd" vs MC.

It offers a four-year undergraduate degree, for example, you can get a degree in accounting from umd-cp the Smith school of business. But you start the school as a junior.

So you have to take your first two years somewhere else.
