I would see if there's an assisted living facility or similar that might take them.

Get rid of more. Get rid of MANY more than you think you should. See if Second Story Books wants any of your books. I moved and downsized when we had about 6,000 books. I got rid of half and now that I’m in the new house, wish I had gotten rid of 85%. I paid to have these books packed and moved, and now I don’t want them. Liberate yourself!

Have a party and let your friends take home a book or two!

I love giving people books I've read and enjoyed. To me, they're meant to be shared!

Same! I will also leave a book every now and then on a subway or park bench in hopes that someone will pick it up and enjoy it.
