RU is deeply rooted with ECNL pathway. Across the board more ECNL RL teams than GA in every age group.

The best teams still get into the event, the rest of the brackets are pretty much whatever, Jeff Cup just prefers ECNL RL

As an RL parent, I think these tournaments are ridiculous. There are no coaches watching 5th bracket RL teams. And if my kid wouldn't lose playing time in league games by not attending, we would not attend. At this rate they might be the first games they play this season anyway. Can't wait. And yeah, the hotels are horrible. Love the pot in the hallways especially.

They always get you with the 8 am Friday game to make sure you are stuck with a 3 night stay!

The Jefferson cup has gone downhill. not as bad as CASL/visit Raleigh but it is getting there. it has become a tournament of RL, a few bad ECNL teams and ga teams so that's the competition level. our club stopped going.. waste of time
