I got on a plane and were at a beach resort. I'm not playing in this BS cold weather.

Single WFH parent with one 2nd grader. This is my formula for snow/vacation days when not in vacation camp:

Independent, no-screen play until 12:00PM. She does art projects, Lego, plays in room. I often keep a rainy day thing like kinetic sand kit or bracelet kit to pull out.

12:00PM-2:00PM: lunch and screen time

2:00PM-3:00PM: Quiet time in her room

3:00-5:00PM: She can play quietly in my office if I do not have a meeting. I take breaks from work to do things like read her chapter from our book, make a batch of cookies, play a quick game. If it's not too cold or rainy she plays in the backyard before it is dark (I can see it from my office window).

5:00-6:00PM: grandparents often Facetime her while I finish work or she will get another hour of a show.

I wanted them at school today, I was so happy with the two hour delay, even my 6th grader was okay with it. He wasn't crying saying he wants to stay home.

We have a number of lego sets on hand (old presents) which are keeping DC busy. Also indoor fort building sets

I taught mine how to use the carpet scraper. She’s been doing all of the stairs in our house and then using the Dustbuster to vacuum up all of the dog hair. She’s having fun.

NP but why? It’s grammatically correct.

Better than saying “DH and myself.” Gag. Learn how to use reflexive pronouns, people!
