Looking for a nice restaurant in Fairfax City for a George Mason Graduation??

Not sure if this restaurant if the atmosphere is too casual for you but it’s close to Mason. We’ve been there a few times and enjoyed the food. https://kellysoysterhouse.com/menu/

Hamrock’s Restaurant is a nice too.

Bollywood Bistro - really good food and service. But it would depend on how many you’re trying to accommodate. They have buffet lunch too which is just large enough but not overwhelming.

I'd take a look at Bellissimo Restaurant- we had a high school graduation there for 50 guests two years ago and it was phenomenal. The food was just perfection and I love the white tablecloths and murals on the wall. Everyone raved about the experience. The owner's wife was there helping with all of the staff and couldn't have been kinder.

I agree with the pp who recommended Bellissimo in Old Town Fairfax. It is probably my favorite restaurant in Fairfax. It is close to Mason, and I know people who have had parties there and been very happy.

A pp recommended Villagio in Clifton, which has great food--more down-to-earth Italian. I'm not sure how well they'd work with you for your party, though. A few years ago, we were having a large family gathering and made what I thought was a simple substitution request and they refused us.

Dolce Vita Wine Bar does events, and I've heard it is good--I've never been.

Raffagino's in Burke is also surprisingly good and nicer inside than you'd suppose from the outside. (Still not as nice as Bellissimo, though.) The benefits of Raffagino's and Dolce Vita would be plentiful, close parking compared to Bellissimo or Villagio.

^I should say Dolce Vita is a Restaurant and Wine Bar, not just a bar.

I bet they would let you have their back room. It’s the prettiest restaurant around that area.

Also going to recommend Bellissimo. We've eaten there when there have been large groups there celebrating something.

Dolce Vita is very good for Italian. Bellisimo is very nice and good as well. There is also a private Country Club of Fairfax close to GMU that might do events depending on size.
