Shut up little Miller |
A culture that desperately sends its children overseas with the hope they extract the parents and cousins , has no hope |
That may be anecdotally true for you, but generally speaking, international students are full pay. Look it up. |
|
Wow. It is apparent that Indians study in US to get a US job. Since h1b and opt are getting restricted and may go away, Indian are rethinking the value of a US education.
And since they can’t rely on US job then the don’t want a US education Had nothing to do with the excellence of US universities and everything to do with US globalists wanting cheap labor |
That doesn't solve the need for more doctors. In underserved or health professional shortage areas, a large % of doctors are immigrants. |
yes, like Trump and Musk. |
Trump increased Chinese students by 600,000. |
It's merely a reflection of conditions being much worse where people come from, same as with all the immigrants from Central and South America. It's a one-way highway for a reason. People are motivated by the potential for economic prosperity; few care at all about the ever-changing and always temporary changes of direction of the U.S. gov't, as long as the U.S. continues to be seen as relatively prosperous when compared to other countries. |
China is playing Trump like a violin. They buy his Trump coin cryptos for hundreds of millions of dollars and there are so many favorable policies towards China now. Meanwhile, China hasn't bought any soybeans from American farmers for months following the Trump tariffs, and we the taxpayer are paying the soybean farmers to do nothing. MAGA! |
That PP chud doesn't know any "Indians" like actually from India. Many racists don't know the difference between an Indian and an Indian American. Yes, the latter should go to state schools with scholarships if the school wants to give them. |
The U.S. is quickly becoming poison The wealthy (and these usually are) are rethinking their children's future. |
Fewer talented immigrants to make our economy vibrant. More poorly prepared Americans in our colleges. Not something to celebrate. |
Pretty much how the US has worked for a very long time. |
Your anecdote doesn't make it wrong. This is across the board generally true that they pay full freight. And to counter your anecdote, my kid is on a college sports team that is about half not from the US. They all pay full freight (we are not D1 so no athletic money). I know this having talked with their parents and the kids (they come to play notwithstanding that school in their own countries is significantly cheaper; many don't finish out 4 years for that reason). |
