Tell? I worry with Nigella as cohost, with Paul’s history |
As a young woman Prue was sent from South Africa to London to stay with a friend of her mom's and her dh. She started an affair with the dh who also hooked her up professionally and financially and was a huge part of her success. They had the affair for 13 years until he finally left his wife and married Prue. They "confessed" but said they started the affair just a short while earlier. As I understand it this poor woman, who forgave Prue and her dh based on the version she was told, never knew she had been deceived for 13 years. Prue has very little remorse. |
| She was very young. The dh is a pos. Today it would be called grooming |
Maybe, but now she is 80+ and she still sees it positively, calmly and lovingly, saying she enjoyed having an affair so she could focus on work (which he also financed). I think it was so odd to share, and not everything is for sharing. |
No. it wouldn't be called grooming to have an affair with a woman in her 20s. Not then and not now. It may be unseemly but she was an adult. |
| That’s wild, i didn’t realize she was 85– and only a few years younger than Mary Berry. Get someone younger in there like Liam who does the kid’s bake off now. |
Honestly, I don’t really care. |
| It is a bit untowardly of her, isn’t it? Such a shame. |
Eh. She was really young and, ultimately, they were together for 40 years. I guess I just don’t really care that much if an elderly baking show host had an affair back in the 60s 🤷♀️ |

True, sort of cheeky, like Camilla
(I’m kidding) |
1+. Yes, and it was what, like literally *60* years ago & she was not one with marriage vows. Ridiculous double standard. |
| Nigella is confirmed to replace her. |
I like Nigella I wonder how she will vibe with the show. |
