Pet Registration- MOCO Md

no I blame the Pet Police for not just giving me a ticket there and sending it in the mail. just say, "we have to fine you", and I can ask them how I fight it

going back and sending a ticket after not saying that was protocol is dirty work

I definitely wont tell them anything if they come back. theyll have to investigate on their own...

It's not "dirty work", you absolute horse's ass. It's your responsibility, you didn't do it, you were given grace, you still didn't do it, and now you want to "fight it" like you're entitled to even more than you were already given.

You are the problem, OP. 100% you and your bs.

I wasnt given "grace", I got a ticket.

its funny hearing liberals complaining about being "entitled".

You deserve the ticket. You knew you needed to register your dog and you still didn't. What did you think was going to happen?

If you don't like the laws here, feel free to move.

I dont "deserve" a ticket. if I did, i'd get the ticket when they wasted 30 minutes of my time.

you people dont challenge anything in this county and its why the council does whatever they want.

besides, my high property taxes should cover my registration, why do I need to pay more when my property taxes have gone up 12 years in a row and counting

no wonder moco is a mess and getting worse.

I love MOCO threads - a bunch of Karens kissing the county's ass... there is zero reason to have to register your dog... "but it's only $12" ... yeah, I'd rather light a cigar with that money - would be a better use for it. You are the same people driving 32 in 35 zone and pacing the car on the right.

thank you!, someone with some sense!

exactly, why do I need to register my dog, only for the county to find reasons to find me out of compliance of a number of rules they create for tickets to generate revenue

the county could charge $1000 to register pets and these people would just pay it b/c the county told them to

I love clueless idiots complaining about "Karens" while ignoring the fact that the sort of people like OP, who have no common sense, are the reason we need these rules.

Registering your dog requires proof of rabies vaccine. It's a public health issue. In most areas, the funds collected go toward enforcement, and also toward county-funded animal shelters.

If everyone who owned a pet was a responsible owner who could be trusted to properly house, spay/neuter, train, and vax their animal, we wouldn't need animal control. But that's not reality anywhere I've been, so we have this simple little protocol to protect dog owners and the general public.

Sorry that's so hard for you to understand. Rich that you call the people who don't struggle with this the Karens, though...

I personally am super glad you got a ticket and hope you get many more, based on everything you keep spewing.

Zero of these rules are enforced just to create revenue. There aren't that many, and all of them are public health and public safety and public use issues. Leash your dog, vax your dog, don't leave your dog out to bark at all hours... These are the basics of dog ownership in a civil society. What's embarrassing is that you didn't bother to learn them, and are now on some kind of campaign to remove them, complaining and looking a whole ass all the while. You can probably afford the $12. If you can't, you probably can't afford to properly keep a pet.

"I want it now and I want it for free and I want it all my way" is a child's mentality, not the thought process of an allegedly-grown adult taking responsibility for the life of an animal. Please grow up and suck less.

Oh we do. We just can't stand idiots like you who refuse to follow the simplest of rules and then lash out at the government. There is a very good reason we need dogs to receive rabies vaccines, which is required for registration. Whoever let you have a dog should be ticketed too.

It's all but certain that OPs dog was barking or otherwise making a nuisance and has likely done so in the past. There is no mention of the time of day but it was probably late. All this coupled with OPs clear capacity to charm and there's little mystery as to outcome here.

agree. The ticket is probably for the dog barking.
