Anyone notice mail is slower (USPS)?

The post office has never been helpful at the fronnt counter. It's been the same for the past 30 years.

In the past, I was at least able to get what I needed in a timely fashion. Now, if I go in, the wait is always long, and the front counter employees move almost purposefully slow.

Usps employees are on their phones all day. It probably doesn’t add to efficiency. If they focused on what they were doing, they’d get more done, faster.

USPS is a joke. Carries don’t care. The Postmaster for your local USPS doesn’t care either. They’re always changing carriers for routes. There’s no consistency. If you don’t receive mail, the carrier starts the route over instead of picking up where they left off.

Yep. DOGE was the nail in the coffin.

Local mail (I'm in VA) has been just fine, even fast. Mail to family in CA and FL has been terribly slow, and based on postmark the issue is at the point of delivery.

No problem here.

OP, You mailed on Saturday before Dec 25. The next day was Sunday. Then, PO had three days to move all the mail everyone is sending at the last minute.

We sent our cards in January, and they took a few days to reach people.

However, we received mail addressed to a person or company in another state that is more than 800 miles away. The information is telling us that there is a foreclosure happening. We do not own property in that state but have relatives there so we somehow thought it was for them.

I received junk mail to my address but with the name of a client on it.

I routinely receive mail for my neighbors.

We had a terrible one. However, I went to a different PO and the people are lovely. I am very nice to them because their leadership (DeJoy) is so bad.
