This was also our experience years ago. Sorry to hear it hasn't changed. The good news is college is so much better -- very refreshing!

Yikes sorry to hear that the senior class isn’t great. DC in a different grade and class seems largely drama free, DC is very happy. Older DC had a not so great class at a different school so we’ve definitely seen how cohorts vary and impact our kids’ experiences. I do think this is one where you roll the dice when applying to a small school.

I don't think you're getting much explicit instruction in executive functioning at either of those schools.
