Just search Shorelight, Into, Kaplan, Navitas….
International Kids with MUCH LOWER credentials get into several US schools when AMericans have a much higher hurdle to get in….

Why do schools do this? Wait until Trumpers find out about it….

Was I wrong to listen to the Reddit crowd?

The reddit crowd also has international students asking a thousand times per day how to get a full ride to college in the US.

The reddit crowd professes its hatred of the United States then promptly floods its universities with applications, most of which are from needy students. That about sums up the state of the world we live in. I wonder if "irony" appeared on any of the international SAT exams?

International students are the wealthiest cohort of students.

Chat does Earth's population grow?

Are there more people on earth than in the past?

I guess America's colleges are just too attractive to the rest of the world. The folks at reddit would have you believe no one wants to study in the US anymore. Quite the bubble they live in.

Are you an American who doesn't know what the word "conversely" mean?

Example….foreign kids can get it several TOP100 unis in the US with very low credentials vs Americans…

We need to cut both undergraduate/graduate foreign students by at least 50%. China, Russia, India, Iran etc. are stealing too much sensitive/advanced technologies. US must win the AI race against China.

How does cutting international students help with winning the AI war? In wwII many foreigner researchers help develop the bomb? The strategy should be to attract the top talents and make them work for AI in US.

Then most US universities will be bankrupt. Are you gonna be full pay and support the university budget?

I don't see any evidence of them getting in with substantially lower credentials than US students.

Hahahahaha…..This is the reason these entities exist. Top 25 schools dont need to use these services because internationals want to go there. But from t150 down to t30 or so, they need another way to market to international students. And the way they do it is by using 3rd party companies like the ones mentioned here. They all have relationships with large college counselor companies everywhere in the world. These counselors will funnel kids to these companies and get a fee for doing so. And Universities get a bunch of borderline students through what they call äccelerator programs. These have lower standards than if you were a normal International Student applying direct…..Lower TOEFL requirements, no test scores required….etc…And you have to agree upfront that you can pay the tuition. Sometimes that tuition is even more than the published rates because the universities to their CREDIT dont want these kids to fail. So they will actually provide tutors and assistance above and beyond what is normally provided to help these kids manage their first year in a different country without failing…It is fair program…..BUT it does have lower standards…..

The Article below from 2018 talking about it. Now in 2026 this is strong as ever. Specially after the last 2 years. The pathway for internationals that know about this is greater. MUCH easier way to get these schools than applying direct.

So that's the new plan for those internationals who can afford it? Get in very early in undergrad and just stay here. The H1bs I work with all have grad degrees from the US but not undergrad.

Apparently. Idk why they don’t utilize marriage more!
