American University decisions out! Anyone's DC get good news?

Congrats to your kids! I have a current junior who's very interested in AU. Would be interested in the stats and majors of those who were offered significant merit. I'm excited for all of you!

DS is in! Dean's Scholarship $8k + Honors College. AU grant of $37,900.

DS got $37,900 merit/AU grant + Dean's Scholarship. Admitted to Honors Program.

I highly recommend applying to AU Honors- it pretty much seems like first class AU, lol. Student needs to complete 3 additional supplemental essays. But Honors program students (there are about 40 to 80 a year it seems) get first selection of classes, live together on a hall in freshman dorms, move in early, get extra guidance, take some core courses together, and other benefits. A main benefit and reason we applied is that some of the merit scholarship is not based in income.

DS stats include 4.0 gpa, 5 APs. 3 yrs student newspaper with editor sr yr, strong volunteer over 3 years with final summer hired.

DS admitted to Honors College/Poli Sci with Presidential scholarship and additional Trustee merit award! (roughly $35K annually per year)

+1 for my dd, $20,000. I’m an AU alum who received a full tuition scholarship back in the day.
