| Congrats to your kids! I have a current junior who's very interested in AU. Would be interested in the stats and majors of those who were offered significant merit. I'm excited for all of you! |

DS got $37,900 merit/AU grant + Dean's Scholarship. Admitted to Honors Program. I highly recommend applying to AU Honors- it pretty much seems like first class AU, lol. Student needs to complete 3 additional supplemental essays. But Honors program students (there are about 40 to 80 a year it seems) get first selection of classes, live together on a hall in freshman dorms, move in early, get extra guidance, take some core courses together, and other benefits. A main benefit and reason we applied is that some of the merit scholarship is not based in income. DS stats include 4.0 gpa, 5 APs. 3 yrs student newspaper with editor sr yr, strong volunteer over 3 years with final summer hired. |
Congrats! |
Express continued interest? Deferred is a good sign. Will likely get in during RD! |

DS admitted to Honors College/Poli Sci with Presidential scholarship and additional Trustee merit award! (roughly $35K annually per year)
Congrats to everyone who had good news today! |
