And are forming their identities in the new things they like. Don't act like you or your kids are superior. I agree that things in youth sports can be highly toxic, but they "escaped" just to find a new passion that they will sink their teeth into. Enjoy the ride.

No, soccer is a unique brand of insanity. I have a kid who is a good golfer and the community is incredibly supportive and friendly. He used to play soccer and it was like torture. The parents thought their kids were going to the World Cup because they made the A team on a good soccer club. Along with like, 12 other boys. And these kids were U10. No joy, no fun, just intensity from those moms.

The boys were nice enough.

You do know it is okay to be comfortable in your skin enough to laugh at people scraping for teams and being ok with making A, B or C team and simply playing in your lane year after year.

Easy to identify the best golfers, just check the scoreboard. Soccer, like most team sports, the best in the eye of the beholder. But parents are such neutral judges shouldn’t be that hard right Moms?

U10 parents are the worst.

It's a nice barometer on where you stand either way!

If the club isn’t sending an Uber to get your kid to the ID session, they don’t respect your kid’s talent.

Anything less than a stretch limo is a slap in the face, honestly

Our neighbors were bragging about their kid being ID’d by some fancy academy but they only ever sent Teslas to pick him up HAHAHHAHA joke’s on them

I am so glad my U14 DD is on a nice team in the EDP league. She’s happy playing, I’m happy ( and not broke) it’s great. Some of you people are crazy.

Its not about club soccer you nut. Kids don't tryout for club... there are no id sessions for club.

VIPs don’t have to go to tryouts because we were invited.

… ignoring girls’ sports like it’s optional. Bold move for someone whose IQ apparently took a red card.

Be serious.

I want to nominate the OP for parent of the year. Could you please share your name? Thanks!

Awwww. Someone needs attention. Turd players generally move season to season.

DC has entered the transfer portal seeking the very best package and guarantees. That may involve a return to our existing club assuming certain assurances are made, including uniform provisions and waived club fees! Anything less and I'll threaten to take them out for an all training, no club lifestyle --- then I'll really be looking down on all you b^£<hes!!!

Every team that we've ever seen do this turns into a failure within a few years. Includes ECNL and GA clubs.

Every team you’ve seen you say? How many and which teams since you seem to have visibility across the soccer landscape. Failure within a few years, you really follow and track this closely. What metrics do you use to define failure? Across all of GA and ECNL you claim. I call BS on you.
