Tell me about your microdosing with zep - what has worked for you?

How can you split a vial? They shoot in and are one dose or nothing at least mine are

I don't understand how it's physically possible to split a vial?

I get incredibly nauseous from zep so I’ve been splitting the 2.5 into 2-3 doses but am thinking about going even smaller. It’s very effective in a micro dose given that the nausea makes me not want to eat - too effective maybe.

I’m down to 2.0 every four weeks now. I have a vial of the meds, not a predosed syringe so it’s easy.
Let’s say my goal weight is 125. When I take the shot the next week I drop down to 120. Then it takes me 4 weeks to get back up to about 126.

Not true if you use fresh needle every time. Don’t believe scare tactics

Mine did too - since I'm self pay she suggested getting the higher dose and splitting it in half to make it last longer.

A vial is different than the pens you use.

My IVF clinic (CRM) taught me how to split vials and pens a decade ago. Anyone who tells you it’s impossible is trying to sell you more meds.

More likely they’re concerned about overall patient safety:

“Single-dose vials are approved for one time use only – one dose, for one person. If the vial is labeled by the manufacturer as a single-dose vial that means it does not contain ingredients (also known as an antimicrobial preservative) that protect it from bacteria growing in the vial. Therefore, even if there is medicine still in the vial, it should not be saved or used again. Bacteria can begin to grow within an hour of puncturing the vial, making a second dose of medicine unsafe. Using the vial for a second dose can result in an infection, even if it is used for the same person at a later time.”
https://www.consumermedsafety.org/safety-articles/single-dose-vial-means-one-time-use-only

Multi-dose vials have antimicrobial preservatives added that single-use vials/injectables may not, and even those need to be used within a specific timeframe once opened.

So you are basically macrodosing so you can fluctuate within 120 and 126 every week? That is the stupidest thing I've ever heard.

So you are pulling from the same vial in two separate doses? Yikes. That is not recommended as there is no preservative in the Zep vials.

I just started these and yes right on the intructions it says not to split them. Contamination ie infection is real people

Not if you are careful/wipe down everything with alcohol wipes/use sterile needles. Of course the pharmaceutical industry says that - they want you to buy more! You probably also believed it when you were told that ill-fitting surgical masks (not N95s) magically protected against airborne viruses.

I have been on the Internet for about 40 years (yes, before Netscape). I've read some monumentally stupid things during that time.

This comment, however, might be the dumbest thing I've ever read. Whoever typed it is a bloody idiot, dumber than a pile of rocks, and deserves whatever is coming to her for thinking this way. Gawd. The stupid: It hurts.

Interested in splitting dose. What’s a good way to “seal” the open vial - from germs? Tape?
