| She should just graduate in the degree she started. Unless she wants to do something highly specialized like be a doctor. Other than that most people don’t end up working in their exact degree field |

| What school? My DC attends VT and was also majoring in IR and a language but decided to switch to National Security and Foreign Affairs (plus the language minor). It's much more interesting than just basic IR and includes courses on intelligence gathering, homeland security, counterterrorism, etc. Big emphasis on research and writing. |
