I hate it but to each their own.

I am an 80s person in an 80s house already. I like it, especially because it's less money than the soulless MegaMcMansion being built down the block in Bonaire.

But all that glass always freaks me out because I imagine the Mansons watching me.

Here's some info about the house and their current owners. A lot of the collection is for sale.

The downsizers sharing a slice of their Maryland wonderland
"The sculptural house of Diane and Marc Grainer overflows with the quirky ceramics and furniture the couple has collected with gusto and humour over decades. Now, as they scale down, a cache is up for auction"

I grew up in a modern house like this. We were always cold in the winters. All the heat goes up into those tall ceilings and out those beautiful windows. When I bought my house, I insisted that the realtor not show us any houses with 2-story rooms. It would be magical somewhere without seasons, but not in the mid-Atlantic.

Another story about the Grainers' art collection along with pictures of the house.

The garage is cool. Two story with Balcony and a second story outside walkway to house.

The glass blocks remind me of my orthodontist's office (late 80s/early 90s). So chic.

So exposed. I hope there are good window shades.

+1. Truly hideous and a bad investment

That is truly the ugliest house I’ve ever seen in my life. I cannot unsee this.

From outside it looks like the laboratory in stranger things movie.

It’s cool bc it’s interesting and different. I’d furnish differently and it would be better.

I cannot believe I just wasted 2 minutes and like 20 thumb swipes looking at that house.

It like, really really sucks.

F me with a chainsaw that house would still suck when that movie was out.

That was my first thought too. And what about that greenhouse sitting area off the kitchen? Would be like a bug under a magnifying glass in summer.

Those glass blicks everywhere are awful!!

Dealing with a spiral staircase everyday will make you want to never go upstairs.

The bathrooms are all terrible- one is basically a home depot sink and toilet in an empty room. The other baths look like they were an afterthought.
