Rainy day activity idea: the mall

Wound up being an inexpensive and easy way to get a kid out if the house on a rainy day, turned into a binding experience, and was a heck of a lot more fun for me than going to like a trampoline park.

Haven't spent this much time at a mall in like 20 years. Who knew.

The library is good for this too. Or a museum.

I think you’re onto something here. Maybe doctors should never wear masks in hospitals

I trust experience. I wear a D95 and take hand sanitizer to stores, doctors, nail place, etc. No covid, flu or colds in almost 6 years.
A lot of those masks are ineffective to protect well people population studies didn't control for type of mask, mask hygiene, and constancy of use.

I used to love going to aquarium stores when the kids were little - free and to them, it was just like going to the National Aquarium!

Kids love the mall because it’s different for them. They aren’t being dragged to it all the time like we were in the 80s/90s because dad/grandpa can’t do their own shopping for whatever reason and needed shirts and pants, and your brother needs new shoes for school, and then mom needs to stop by the Bed Bath & Beyond in the strip mall around the corner to get some new towels. It’s a fun novelty when you only go a few times a year at most.

We love taking our 7 and 9 year olds to the mall. I agree it is a super fun way to spend a rainy day. Most impressed she didn't beg you to buy stuff.
