Any home scent thing is bad.

Are any scented candles okay? I get that the cheap hyperscented ones aren’t great, but are the natural and/or higher quality ones okay?

Yes

Look for soy.

Etsy is a great source for candles. Avoid home goods and chain stores.

Haha, I never use candles, and I have one that I got as a gift a few years back that has been stashed in a drawer unused. Just threw it away now.

Yes, everyone knows that scented candles and pot are both unhealthy. Here is what you breathe in and it sticks to your food and furniture:

Chemicals Released by Scented Candles
Paraffin Wax: A common base, it's a petroleum byproduct that releases VOCs (Volatile Organic Compounds) like benzene, toluene, and formaldehyde when burned, some of which are carcinogens.
Synthetic Fragrances: Often contain phthalates, used as solvents, which can disrupt hormones and worsen allergies.
Dyes & Additives: Can release toxic fumes, with some dyes containing benzene-based compounds linked to cancer.
Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs): Formaldehyde, benzene, toluene, and others are released, acting as irritants and air pollutants, with potential links to leukemia, blood disorders, and cancer.
Ultrafine Particles: Soot and particles that deeply penetrate the lungs, increasing indoor pollution.

Why not just post this as the original post? You asked a stupid question do you can say “gotcha”!?
