| Wegmans used to sell escargot that was ready to cook. |
| The key is definitely to go right when they open. I find almost any restaurant is happy to see a well behaved kid for early dinner. But not at 7 or later. |

When we lived in Belgium they served.button mushrooms like Escargo.

Ooooh thank you! I think he'll love this, and everyone can eat this. We'll still going out for escargot on the actual day, but we can make these once in a while too. |
So, you're saying no toddlers at Ruth's Chris at midnight on NYE?

| Just chiming in to say I love this. Same thing happened with my son and his “fancy” grandparents when he was little. He’s now 19 and he and now widowed very elderly NYC grandmother went out for escargot together during his winter break visit. |

My sons are obsessed with the escargot at Praline in Bethesda. I like it a lot too. Make sure you have plenty of bread for dipping.
We also recently had lobster “escargot”. Similar to what the mushroom PP said, most things served in a well of garlic butter are going to be delicious. |

I’ve never been but it’s on the menu at Bistro L’hermitage in Occoquan

Haha! Classic DCUM oldie but goodie! |

Did he love the escargot?
Or did he really just love all the butter and seasonings it was served with/cooked in? Perhaps, he would be happy with something similar doused in butter the way that escargot is served. Mushrooms perhaps? |
