Your school likely has this data available if they have Naviance, School Links, etc. it’s better if you look at the stats kids had from your school |
Your kid is a junior. My 4 kids all got their highest score September of 12th. Have him forget about tests now, but take it again in June or August and then in September/October. He will definitely score higher after 11th is over! |
| 100% yes |
This. Admissions offices will vary, but some care more about the applicant meeting a minimum / threshold PERCENTILE score on SAT or ACT, rather than focusing on either the raw score (out of 1600) or on having the very highest raw score. The statistical difference between a SAT (contrived example) of X and X+100 might be really minor and not a big deal for admissions. |
| Mine did-engineering, 790 math but only 660 English!! |
| Yes to UVA if applying ED. Yes to all the other schools. |
|
Yes.
His gpa is perfect for all Va schools even Uva who looks for higher gpa’s. Submit score… at 11th grade it will be even higher . |
| Submit 1480 superscore everywhere. It's better than applying test optional. |
this is probably true with more students taking and reporting their scores. |
| Because of affirmative-action/ quotas, he already gets a boost in university admissions as a male. |
Depends on school. UVA, for example has very similar admission rates for female vs male. |
| Yes to all VA schools |
| Yes submit those scores. |
| So, with the admission results for this year out, still submit? |
