How do single people do colonoscopes?

I drove my sister to her colonoscopy.

This is sort of a rude question. I'm sure OP has friends. Some people don't feel comfortable asking a friend to do this who has other obligations and work.

OP if you don't feel comfortable asking a friend, the practice should have a number for medical transport. Also, if you have ever had issues with anesthesia before, let them know and they may recommend you have an aide for a few hours.

Also, OP I found for the day of liquid diet-bone brother helped me feel full. Ask if they allow this.

Don’t they have a car service they can refer you to? A PP mentioned medical transport service.

OP I just googled it for you since my husband will be starting a new job in a few months and I don't want him taking off as soon as he starts. Caremobile gets great reviews. There are other companies too and lots of comments about empathetic and kind people working at these places. There no shame in doing this. I know how many days I have used from work for family emergencies, illness, appointments, IEP or school conference meetings for my kids, etc and so I assume my friends also barely have any time they can take off.

I'm on call for doing this for single friends. Happy to pick them up and get them home.

Get a friend, in-law, family member, etc. This is not that hard?

A friend of mine was hired by a woman who she sometimes dog sits for to pick her up her colonoscopy and drive her home.

I have UC and have had regular colonoscopies since I was a teenager. When I was single in my 20s, I would ask a friend. You can try to schedule for a time when it's more convenient (end of day, for example...though that's harder with the prep).

BTDT. Physician/practice (K street) that performed my colonoscopy had a medical transport that I was able to book. Nice gentleman who was in the waiting room at the appointed time. So definitely worth asking the office receptionist.

You can have clear liquids, lemon jello. You should be home when you start the prep drinking the stuff.

can you provide number of this service? or the practice?

I tried to find these options several years ago and struck out.

I don't have anyone to ask. So I can't get it done.
