Come January when things are quiet I’ll make a batch of cut out cookies— mittens, snowmen, and snowflakes.
The thing I have long wanted to make and never have is a stollen. Maybe after the new year.

Similarly, one of these years I'm going to tackle panettone. But it is not this year.

We did cookie platters as gifts last week.

This week - white chocolate raspberry. Cheesecake on Christmas Eve, cinnamon rolls on Christmas Day and chocolate cake for Christmas Day dinner.

I made ginger snaps, snickerdoodles, a pumpkin roll, pecan pie bars, and millionaires shortbread for family this week. I gave my friends fudge, fruit loaf cakes or ginger snaps depending on their preferences.

I baked chocolate biscotti, a cinnamon shortbread, and cut-outs from a family recipe. I'm currently baking a chocolate cake from Bake from Scratch for Christmas dinner and I just realized I forgot the vanilla. Doh.

I make about 12 types of cookies including standard chocolate chip, peanut butter blossoms, molasses, etc.

I also do baklava, florentines, amaretti, butter cookies, etc.

For dessert, we have key lime pie and sticky toffee pudding.

I have made ginger snap cookies, Christmas frosted sugar cookies (the cut out kind), and going to attempt to make a Buche de Noel on Christmas Day for dinner. A bit nervous about that one. Send tips my way or if you have a tried and true recipe for one

OP here. Don't love this gingerbread cake. Super disappointing because I almost always love anything I bake from Sally's recipes. It was dry, not spiced enough (even though I added a bit more cinnamon and cloves than the recipe called for), and the frosting was way too sweet. Not all the recipe's fault though -- I think I overbaked it, and I have finally decided I just don't love cream cheese frosting. Oh well, onward.

I make this gingerbread loaf. I add 1/4 cup of candied ginger, which really gives it so much more flavor. I skip the frosting, because it's perfect on its own.

Thanks! I’ll try this one. I’m really wanting some gingerbread, and that stuff that I made just did not work out.
