Whenever he comes on screen we yell, “run, Alfie, save yourself!” The show treats him like a romantic ping pong (same with the Lucas Bravo character) and he deserves so much better.

Haven’t started season 5 yet. The show has become a slog even if you’re just watching for clothes and scenery.

Lily Collins with short hair isn't even attractive anymore. One can see that a new baby has put a lot of strain on the actress.

I thought she looked lovely and chic, and somewhat healthier than last season (although better in the Rome episodes of this season than when the series returned to Paris).

Is it just me or do the Instagram references/selfies in Season 5 seem outdated? I feel like so few people post on social media these days compared to when Season 1 aired. I don’t even have an Insta acct anymore.

I thought she looked much better this season. I like her short hair, and her Roman clothes were much better than last season’s fashion choices.

She had sepsis and then filmed season 4 right after. She was not in good health. She seems much healthier this season, and it’s great to hear how well she recovered.

When Gabriel and Emily said goodbye at the train station (knife delivery), it seemed like a sending off of the actor from the series. And he didn’t even have much airtime this season!
I was very surprised to see him again at the end.

I was surprised he was in season five at all given how he spoke about the show at the end of the last season. He seemed to want off the show.

Finished the season last night

The whole thing is an arc to get them back together, right?

I haven't followed what the actor has been saying, but I thought he looked really good this season. The sudden acceptance of the yacht job seemed out of character, but maybe it shows that Emily's spontaneity rubbed off on him. I'm glad the character (and the actor) got a little change with less on screen time.

I understand that Lily Collins has dealt with anorexia, but now Sylvie looks way too thin and there are a number of bit parts that are way too thin as well. Bring back women like Camille.

It’s doubtful that he will find a successful career elsewhere. He’s the French David Caruso.
