Why did your kid ED1 to a school that wasn't his top choice? They should have ED1'ed to Bowdoin since that was top choice.

But still an unlikely one. It really all depends on the backup options and degree of risk aversion.

Go for what you think is the fit. Good luck to your kid! Bowdoin is a great place. My kid did ED1 but 2 of her roommates did ED2.
