Is there an age where you’re too old to have holes in your jeans?

You remind me of a gentleman I saw at Sephora this weekend. I'm assuming he was dragged there by his wife to buy Christmas presents. They were in their 70s and on their way out of the store when he pulled his wife's sleeve to show her some foundation that was on the shelf, "Do you see this? It's the color of the skin!!! Why would anyone spend money on something that looks just like skin???"

Ripped through wear? Anyone one of any age can wear those.

Completely agree. I won't buy ripped but I also wouldn't care about wearing jeans that are worn out for casual errands etc.

People should do what they want, but personally, around 40.

Yes.

Mutton dressed as lamb.

Nope.

There is, however, an age at which you’re too old to care what random people think about your clothes.

+2 its fine any age if natural wear. Store bought hole worn jeans are a bit more youth oriented.

28-30. I am 40 now and look back at pictures of myself at 32 wearing ripped jeans, and think that it was a bad look, even then. However, to the previous poster’s point, I do think the trend has passed.

I am 50 and I am young to wear anything I want.

When my kids were young I wore out the left knee of every single one of my jeans. Turns out when dropping to the floor to play with them, I hit my left knee first every single time.

Same for me and I had my first kid at 35, but at 50 I’m
Too old.

Same here.

60. I’ve been complemented. It depends on how you put all together.

Where are the holes and how many holes?

No.

I also think the trend has passed so I don’t see it as a “trying to look young and hip” thing.

Man had a point.

I am 54, not in my 70s. But that man is my hero now. I am glad he put his wife in her place.
