| What strength benzoyl peroxide makes her itchy? I have acne and this product is key for me. My mom always goes on about hating it. Well she always used 10% so no wonder. I've found 2.5% can still be effective as a leave on with minimal side effects, or she could also try a 4% face wash like Panoxyl once a day. |

Did she recently start taking vitamins or supplements with a lot of B12? DD had sudden cystic acne in high school and we finally realized it correlated with when she started taking a multi-vitamin that included 100% (maybe more!) of the recommended B12. Some people have significant acne associated with this.
dermatologist had her stop taking the multi-vitamin and put her on antibiotics; it cleared up completely in about 6 weeks. It was so odd because she was fortunate enough not to have any acne before the multi-vitamin issue at 17. |

Start with the hair products. If she’s doing any new products, using a dormmate’s shampoo, wearing a hat or headband, any of that could cause what you’re seeing.
Hormonal acne usually appears near the chin but everyone’s different. I would say that either a change in products or a change in diet are the most likely culprits, even if the change occurred weeks ago. |
| Does she have bangs and oily hair? That could contribute to a breakout. Also has she been eating more sugar and chocolate? |
