This is the answer. Look up "Rule of 72". Spend less, invest more, and invest intelligently; i.e., invest, don't speculate. Diversified, balanced, low-cost investments can be expected to return perhaps 7% annually on average for the next several years, so use the Rule to calculate when your stake might quadruple. Of course, returns may be higher or lower in future years, so don't count on it. |
