How many of you could care less about fashion?

No. You describe me exactly. No idea exactly why I’m often on this forum, but I check it pretty regularly.

I think, in menopause I’m trying to feel better about my appearance but the effort and time involved just exhaust me.

i care very much, but a lot of the time I feel like I'm bad at it, and don't have the body type to look good in what I want to look good in. So, interested but it's a struggle.

I care about looking good, and I love clothes. I usually wear outfits that I’ve thought about and which flatter my figure and coloring.

Fashion? I don’t follow trends, since a lot of trends don’t interest me.

I care about what I wear, but would not be considered fashionable. I might pick up a couple of trends if they look good on me. But as I get older many fashion trends would look ridiculous on me.

Define fashion.

What’s seen on the spring runways? The disposable cold shoulder tissue tshirts? Skinny vs boyfriend vs mom jeans? No, I don’t.

Quality timeless functional pieces? Yes.

By my best, I mean reading some decent fashion blogs when I found them, and becoming increasingly ruthless about what I buy and what I put on each day. I dress for me, I always have, I don’t expect to attract male attention, and that doesn’t mean for me medical youth-promoting procedures or anything like that.

I also dress for me, but to me that means just wearing what’s comfortable.

To answer your question, OP; me, yes. Yes, I could care less. I could care less, but I like my level of interest and caring, so I will keep it as-is.

An odd question?

Most of the links provided in this forum look to have been provided by people who know little if anything about fashion.

I care.

I don't like most links posted on this forum, because they appear to be very "DC bland". The goal is apparently to blend into an invisible group of tasteful, un-objectionable ladies of a certain age . Apparently I have more, er, colorful tastes. And that's OK. What's important is feeling CONFIDENT, and what makes an individual confident will depend on the individual in question. I just have the nagging feeling that some of these posters are just missing fun stuff just because they're not daring to go there. And they might regret it.

Judgmental question. OP wants to feel better about dressing like a slob.

Who's the judgmental one here?

Who cares?

I care about being comfortable and not standing out for my clothing (eg, the latest fashion, clothes too tight, to loose, too revealing, too dirty, too wrinkly, too old). My assumption by your question is do I care about the latest fashion and that is a resounding no. I buy classic, timeless pieces.

I do not care about what is trendy or designer brands, but I find fashion interesting. Or maybe I should say I enjoy other peoples' style. I am super low key in my own choices, but that doesn't mean I don't enjoy other people's more daring or creative outfits.

But the rat-race trendy stuff, vomit.
