| RD is not worth it, but ED2 is |
DP: I think this assertion may be true for Vanderbilt -- they seem not to hold it against students who are TO -- but not for all schools. Many schools say they are TO but are actually 'test preferred'. |

Waiting for ED results here.
Friends student without a hook got in RD last year. |
That just means they didn’t submit scores. The PP was arguing that they didn’t even take the test and that is why they went test optional. It is BS. Kids aiming for a top 20 are taking the test. The test optional kids that are admitted to Vanderbilt didn’t have high enough scores to submit. |
| Diego got robbed. |
He got exactly what he deserved. Mendoza was the right pick. Vandy does seem like a great option, Pavia aside. |
| Candy is really hot right now due to the good weather, greek scene, and lack of campus politics. If you really want it, consider ED 1. The absolute top students usually don’t want Vandy in ED 1 round, so there will be much less competition. RD round is as nearly as competitive as the Ivies. |

Nashville is an amazing place to spend 4 years in your 20s. Really, really great energy off campus. Live music 7 days a week, a handful of excellent restaurants and dozens of merely fun ones. Top shopping if that's your thing. Football and hockey. And of course drunken Broadway, which my DC dislikes but many students enjoy. The city has recently exploded into a playground for attractive 20-somethings from all over the country. The jobs are there, too for people who stay.

| Wow. Just want to say as a 97 grad, I can’t believe anyone outside the south knows this school or wants to go to Nashville. That was the reality then…so think what it will be like in 20 years from whatever else school. My point is the reputation you arechasing for your kid is 20 years ago. |
| Great school spirit with winning football team! |
