| Pretty much stopped night sweats. |
|
I started 18 months ago at age 45.5. I had hourly night hot flashes that were waking me up, joint pain, lethargy, mood swings, crawling skin sensations, skin dryness and vaginal dryness—among other more minor symptoms. I got on a low dose patch and cyclical progesterone, and I switched to estrogel (1 pump, 0.75mg) a few months in. Within days, symptoms improved and within months they were completely gone except I still have plantar fasciitis, but it’s milder than before.
Over the last 3-4 months, I’ve gotten a few night hot flashes on some nights, especially when I drink wine, but they are not bothersome enough for me to consider upping my dose. My doctor told me to message her if I want to adjust the dose and she would call in the prescription. It could be that you are not on the right dose or that enough isn’t being absorbed if your symptoms are still bothersome. |

What stopped my night sweats was HRT and cutting out sugar and alcohol after 6pm. Whenever I go out and have dessert and a couple drinks, I sleep poorly and have night sweats.
So before you go up in mg (1 is in high side), try cutting out all nighttime alcohol and sugar. And make sure you get some physical activity during the day |

Yes, my ultra low dose Menostar reduced them. I only took progesterone 10 days a month and did sleep more soundly those nights.
My night sweats were mostly nights where I had had sugar or alcohol or both that day. |
| what dose patch are you on? |
NP. Did they find out what the cause of this was? Was it blood clots? I wonder if you were having a histamine response to the estrogen, as estrogen can stimulate mast cells to degranulate. |
| I’m so sorry. Your skin for whatever reason may not be absorbing fully the .1 mg patch. Maybe try another manufacturer/brand. |
