Cannot find plain sweaters for work

Anonymous
J. Crew Factory has a classic cotton sweater that I wear to work regularly.

Not OP but I really love this!

I have a bunch of COS sweaters purchased maybe 7 years ago in Europe and they have not pilled at all.

This is OP, thanks for the replies. I cannot wear wool, not even cashmere. Looking for cotton or synthetic.
I hadn't looked at Nordstrom and they have some possibilities.

BR is all rolled hems this season, which is too casual (and unflattering). I have some plain v-neck sweaters from the BR outlet and they are ok but pretty thin.

Lands End used to make a nice cotton pullover but no longer does. Sometimes I find them on eBay.

AT and Loft have nothing, nor does Talbots.

Ralph Lauren $168 for nice cotton sweaters if that isn’t too high

See post below about sweaters. The recommended stores offer many classic options.

If you're asking for sweater recommendations it's a glaring omission to leave out that you're allergic to all wool.

Anyhow, I've had good luck with Boden sweaters. The linked one has a bit of detail at the neck but I'd still consider it basic.

Quince also does cotton OP. Haven't tried it because I'm too obsessed with these:

The do pill after a year or so of steady wear, but they'll biodegrade and they don't cost too much to begin with.

Here are a couple from LL Bean that are very basic and lightweight.

Not sure where you've been looking, but basic, cotton sweaters in solid colors are everywhere. Here's just one that I like.

(Why not cashmere if you can???)

Quince cashmere sweaters are cheap about-to-pill trash.
