Holiday gift for direct reports

I make 165k and my direct reports make about 150k. I don't do any holiday gifts and work of course also doesn't give bonuses or gifts. My boss doesn't give me a gift either, nor would I want it.

I genuinely don't want a gift from your personal funds. Give me a bonus, time off, or nothing.

I have always gotten a gift from my direct supervisor and my department supervisor. I make 88 and they make 105 and 175 (higher Ed). Direct supervisor always has us pick out a pie from a local pie bakery and then our office head orders in lunch while we play LCR for prizes (gift cards and some silly but relatively personal things) and then all leave early for the day. We all like each other, so it’s nice. The university does not do gifts - other than a single coaster on your 20th anniversary.

I make $100k. I inherited a team that would get $50 gifts from former boss making $175k. I gave $25 gift cards (4 people) last year but company does not subsidize. I want to stop this year but not sure how. I think team thinks its company paid for
