We're talking about orange (or orange/white -- one PP called them creamsicle) cats here. |
|
I have an awesome old orange barn cat. His name is Orange Cat. I hope you find just the one you are looking for!
Orange is so formidable I once saw him chase a fox out of the barn loft! Poor fox was terrified. Nobody messes with the Orange. |

I adopted my cats from here years ago. They have an orange kitten named Killer on the website who looks perfect. Good luck, OP.

| Orange cats are the best - though they can be rascals. In my experience they are very much lap cats. |
| We have buff tabby brothers and they are the bestest boys. We got them from Lost Dog ( and cat) rescue. Ginger cats are so much fun! |
| My ginger is female |
| I'm having a time adopting any cat. There seems to be a shortage of young cats at shelters right now. I don't even want a kitten just looking for less than 18 months old. Should I just wait for spring ? |
It isn't kitten season. The one thing to note is if you get a kitten, they're likely going to ask that you take 2. For what it's worth I adopted about an 18 month old cat solo and then ended up later getting a kitten for her because she didn't do well as a solo cat (my previous cat had been old already when adopted and preferred being solo). |
If you adopt a blue Russian however, you want it to be a solo cat because that's their preference. |
| I didnt know "creamsicle" was commonly used to describe the orange/white cats. I had one growing up and we adopted her and her name was "Creamsicle" but I misheard and renamed her "Dreamsicle". Lived to be 19. |
Yes, my Russian blue eats the other cats food. |
Go to Patriot Pawsabilities in Fairfax. Or look at hart90.org -- HART has cat adoptions every Sunday at the Sterling PetsMart. |
| Homeward Trails has two at their adoption center. |
