Make DH worship you for under $2 and about 10 minutes of your time...

I made my first apple pie from scratch this weekend (Love that Homestead Farms and their big ole bushels!). It was the Apple Cider Pie recipe from my Cooking Light cookbook. I was amazed, but it turned out AWESOME. Now, my MIL's apple pies are legendary and my husband rhapsodizes about them...but he basically ate my whole pie in two days. I felt like a rock star (and I got some lovely "favors" in return!)

I am the poster who suggested Chicken and Dumplings. Here is the recipe.
Chicken and Dumplings
A whole cooked chicken picked off the bone (do whatever pieces you want, we cook our chicken in the crockpot on high for 4 hours. Chicken, any pieces, 4 tbsp butter and basil. Squish butter under skin and sprinkle with basil. Cook for 4 hours on high or 6-7 hours on low. )
3 cups milk
3 cups chicken broth
4 Tbsp. butter
6 Tbsp. flour
Bisquick biscuits* see box(2 cups bisquick, 2/3 cup milk)
1/2 bag of frozen mixed veggies, if you want
1 Tbsp.Basil
1 Tbsp.Sage
Salt and Pepper

Directions:
1~ In a really big pot, melt butter over medium heat. Add flour. Cook until it smells nutty, and has a golden color.
2~ Add Chicken broth, whisking any clumps. Add milk. Heat until bubbly. Add Chicken, Basil, and Sage (and veggies if using). Lower Temperature to low medium.
3~Make Bisquick biscuits. (I also put a little bit of basil and sage in these) Drop by small spoonfuls over the chicken mix in the pot.
4~ Cook on medium/low heat for 10 minutes uncovered, Then stick a lid on the pot and cook for another 10 mintues covered.

Add some Hubba-Hubba and enjoy.

A blow job might be "cheaper" but sometimes it's nice to show your love in other ways. Intimacy can be led from many avenues.
Lady with the apple pie.... I LOVE YOU!! I have made my DH many an apple pie and he loves them, but I can never make chocolate chip cookies that compare to his mom's cookies. I feel you!

It's cheaper and almost as fast just to blow him.
