By “preschool” she means daycare. And that’s not that much for the person spending that much time every day with your child. I give my housecleaners more than that.

DP but I’ve given that in public PreK, which isn’t daycare.

I do not give gift cards because I hate receiving them one reason is that I am not a member of Costco so it is useless. You might consider this when giving Costco gift cards.

If you receive a Costco gift card, you can shop in a Costco warehouse. So they’re not useless. Also, you can shop on the website if you don’t live near a Costco.

We are new to FCPS. Do you have a link for the online giving for all teachers?

Some room parents collect money for a joint gift but there isn't an FCPS sanctioned link.
