Where can I find a less expensive rug like this one?

Too many options to post them all, but go to macys.com, rugs, 8x10, color (blue? gray?), and stripes. You'll have over 500 options, from $300 and up

You could try the Pottery Barn Outlet at Leesburg outlets. It's a little further out but the store is huge and the prices are good. Lots of rugs the last time I was there but it's an outlet so hit or miss.

A rug cleaning company can clean it

No they won’t, at best they will use an extractor. But if you send a knotted wool rug out for cleaning, they wash it just like a big piece of clothing. Detergent, scrub, rinse and spin dry. I think that works better than any other method if your rugs get heavy use.

All my rugs are machine washable. Ruggable has a sale right now, so you can get a rug top and pad for less than $500. I do hate their pads and now only buy the ones without needing a separate pad. You can use other pads as well.

I definitely don’t want a rug that will fit in my washing machine.
