| I don't know why people do this. I use Hertz. There is no line waiting. My name and parking spot is on the board when I get to the lot. I get in the car and drive to the gate and they check the car and my license and I am off. |
| Op here- we are preferred but our name was r on the board. Which seems to happen a lot… |
| Edited above to say WASNT on the board. |
| We have status and things still get regularly messed up - our name not on the board, requested size car not available, etc. It is consistently a mess. We mostly use Avis. |
+1 I also love that we know exactly what we are getting. No booking one thing and ending up with the complete opposite. |
thank you |
| Another Turo convert here. We usually rent to go skiing. We need and AWD car and the regular rental car companies will not guarantee an AWD car. The last time we used a Avis, they had us over a barrel at the Denver airport and charged us about 900 more to give us and AWD car. “Or similar vehicle” does a lot of work in those reservations. |
This. Join the free program of any rental company you use. Once I joined while standing in a multi-hour line at Logan. Left the line, walked to the garage, was able to cut everyone waiting there too. |
LDE and fuel refills. |
What do you do for insurance? |
| Emerald aisle. |
You can pay extra for insurance through Turo. I have found that brings the price to be equal to regular car rentals without insurance. |
| I use budget and use the fast track lane. No more waiting. |
| What is this waiting? Join the club and get an email telling you where your car is. |
| With Avis Preferred plus they give you the parking spot in the app, you don’t need to even go to the counter at all |
