I thought decisions came out 12/15

Speculation is that they used AI to read through and had the regional reps do a final look through.

By a mom on FB?

Tulane early action was released Dec 20 last year, so late Nov announcement for ED seems reasonable (and kind). Best of luck to those applying!

Early Decision. Nuff said.

We are excited to share that we have finalized our Early Decision I cohort for the Class of 2030. We will be releasing those decisions tomorrow, November 26th at 4 PM Central Time (2 PM Pacific, 3 PM Mountain, 6 PM Eastern).

We saw a slight increase in Early Decision applications this year. Over 1600 students submitted Early Decision applications, and we expect to admit around 840. We expect to extend another 2,000+ admission offers during our Early Action round.

Most decisions will be an acceptance, denial, or a nonbinding offer to join our cohort of Spring Scholars. Spring Scholars do not have to tell us their decision until May 1st, so they have plenty of time to consider their options. We did defer a few more students this year, to give these students another opportunity to be considered after we see the Early Action and Early Decision II cohorts. Any deferred students are welcome to send us updated grades and/or scores, and let us know if their interest in the Spring Scholar program has changed. These deferred Early Decision students cannot apply to Tulane Early Decision II and will not be bound to attend Tulane if admitted in the future.

With regard to Early Action candidates, we expect to release those decisions by January 10th at the latest, and likely before that.

An amazing turkey holiday for some. Others would rather not visit with extended family.

Wow. What has happened at Tulane? I know that they are considered stronger schools but BU gets almost 4,000 ED1 applications, BC gets 2900, Northeastern gets over 4,000, Tufts gets 2,600, NYU gets 15,000, UVA get 5,000.

Tulane only got 1,600?

Tufts 2600 is for ED1 and 2. So it and Tulane receive the same amount of applicants

Anyone who got in willing to share stats?

Maybe ED applications will be down at full pay schools.
The economy isn’t the best. I’ll be curious to see trends. This is our first glimpse for the class of 2026.

Maybe because it's in Red State Maga south. My kids will not look there for sure. Turnoff for many others too.

The turnoff is the swampy location and gross high humidity. Politics has nothing to do with it for many.

Ha- we went for admitted students day a few years ago and someone asked about the weather. The tour guide said it’s just a few really hot weeks but other than that, it’s moderate. A woman on the tour said, “I live nearby and you know you’re fibbing.” 😅😅

Applications are up not down. 1400 applied ED1 last year with a 57% AR. 1600 applied this year with a 52% AR. Tulane isnt as popular as many of you think.
