| Penn State. The alumni association plus Smeal is tough to get in and competitive these days. |
| Penn State! |
|
I've attended both schools in parent times. I would definitely recommend Michigan over Penn State. I've been a long-term resident of both states, and I'm in Ann Arbor a lot. I doubt I'll ever do more than pass the general area of PSU again.
Finance was never my area of interest. However, for those who care about such things, it's my impression that Michigan OOS kids seem wealthier, tighter connected to elites, and Ann Arbor has a better grade of sports bro and definitely more culture than State College. |

Penn State if from Pennyslvania. Same if from Michigan.
Not worth the cost if oos. No real difference. Both massive land grant research universities. Stats largely the same. |
[/b] Pfft. Get real. U Mich is rated 20 in the nation, top 3 public. Penn State is rated 59th and 26th among the top public universities. Not even close. |
+1 Those are troll answers. Nobody would rank Penn State above Michigan. |
Michigan is not a land grant university. Trolls can’t even get that right. |
| Since dude is a BRO then Penn St for sure. BRO won't be able to keep up with Michigan academic requirements. |
|
Michigan is a target school for IB

| Who talks like OP? |
| Both are good schools. No reason not to apply to both and see where they get in. |
This. I don’t know anyone who refers to a 17 year old as a “kiddo.” |
| Hail to the victors valiant! |
A friend’s son is in Smeal and he got into the club that helps run the Nittany Lions fund. He had an internship last summer in PE where he was the only non-Princeton kid. Apparently, there’s a small but tight knit and successful Penn St presence on Wall st. For which this club is a pipeline. But, yes, Ross is much more prestigious and there will be many more opportunities. |
