| We went. My DD got to hang out with her roommate. It was fun and worthwhile. She also EDed to the school. |
Once per semester. She's an athlete at an Ivy majoring in engineering. Sport covers both semesters. She's busy. |
|
Of course it is.
1. Look for potential roommates 2. Get free stuff 3. Meet other people you may go to school With 4. Start to get comfy and familiar with campus |
| It was definitely worth it. We’d visited campus in the summer before senior year so it was fun to see the school with more students and without the stress of “will I get in.” We visited the book store, she meet some kids, went to info sessions. Checked out various dorms, ate in the dining hall, and rode the campus shuttle bus. The experience definitely heloed her visualize what her life might look like in the fall. |
| We loved ASD at VT. It was an EA acceptance, not ED as they strangely don’t have that anymore. Even so, it was DC’s first choice school so we were very excited about it. Great way to see the types of kids who were actually admitted as opposed to a random tour group. Got to meet with specific college/major, talk to students and profs, eat in dining halls, walk around, get swag, etc. And it was a gorgeous day to top it off. |
Yes! It was a fun visit. I remember I was nervous though, that he would realize he hated it and then it would be a very long 6 months until drop off (he did not hate it, phew). |
| Yes go to admitted day and get some free merch/swag! Plus maybe kid will meet future roommate |
