Does anyone Still Keep Manual Pen & Paper Daily planners vs. Maintaining everything Online?

Yes, my husband gets me a calendar as Christmas every year and I write family happenings into it.

Your kids definitely don’t want them.

But anyway, I used to do paper, but now I have an e-book and folders of task lists in my Kindle Scribe. I always have my kindle with me, wherever I am in the world.

Yes. Paper wall calendar in the kitchen, calendar on my phone, paper planner. If I could only keep one, it would be the paper planner.

Yes and we've been married for 38 years so I have 38 calendars. I keep them all and occasionally glance through - well baby visits, basketball games, ortho appts. I know they don't want them but they're sentimental to me.

There are two types of people in the word: those who use old school planners and those who don’t.

Just figure out what is your type. It does not matter what other people do.

I use a paper planner for day to day to do lists and my phone for events.

Yes! Have a daily planner in front of me while I'm on DCUM and a work zoom. I also have a large calendar that I write on hanging in the kitchen. It helps me to see everything laid out, I use stickers and washi tape.

I feel like maybe I like the illusion of control? Everything is also on the phone calendar.

As do I.

I did when the kids had lots of activities.

Then I went totally online.

I just got a manual planner and I love it.

Me! I love stationery, planners, nice pens, etc.

Not a daily planner, but I keep an 8 1/2 x 11 spiral lined notebook where I keep notes and lists. It’s helpful for me to keep them all in one place. Sometimes I’ll transfer them to notes on my phone.

+1 A big wall calendar so everyone’s appointments, etc. are easily visible.

Actually I'm planning on leaving them with the house I plan to give to my son and his wife once her visa comes through and they can both come live here.

It's 10 acres and 3 buildings and I have come to use the planners to keep track of the work done and who did the work and account numbers and passwords. The places that can change light bulbs and the numbers of "fix it" handymen who have proved reliable.

I've got a lil cancer but I only have to live through like 2027 so I'm recording things that won't run out of a charge or require a fingerprint.

Same with us. It's a big "desk calendar" and I hope staples prints them forever! When I rip out a month/page I save it in case I have to look back for something. I recycle then at the EoY when I know I'm safe about when dance class is each week or if I had and paid for a tennis lesson!
