I'm a tech exec and use TLDR on many of my emails, including to the CEO. Depends on the audience/culture.

Your first sentence should simply be the Tl;dr or BLUF part.

If it needs to be more than a few paragraphs, I add the details in an attachment and give a summary in the email.
