What should I bake this weekend?

I’m thinking of making a sour cream coffee cake with walnuts and chopped apple.

But I might just do whole wheat banana chocolate chip muffins.

I'm making apple crisp. Store has huge bags of apples right now. Just put on your favorite music and get to peeling.

I have just gotten into baking as well and am having some success now that I'm using Sally's Baking Addiction recipes. I'm baking an apple pie with her butter/shortening crust this weekend.

Recently had great success making her cherry pie bars and her cream cheese poundcake (easily the best pound cake I've ever had).

My family - do you live alone?

Not pp, but it's just me and my DH. And it's an issue, lol.

I have a colleague like this and she brings stuff into the office, which is much appreciated.

What are you thinking or leaning toward? Chocolate? Vanilla with funfetti for classic birthday vibe? Does she have a fave flavor? Layer cake with buttercream? Cupcakes? Bundt cake?

No, I live with my family but it’s still a lot of treats per person!

If you made one pumpkin roll and have 5 people in your house, that should be 2-3 servings each over several days.

Op here. I wound up making Japanese milk bread rolls, figuring if I made sweets I would feel guilty eating them this week (ate too many homemade apple donuts last week....). But these all sound awesome, and i share the Sally's Baking Addiction love! Her new cookbook has Chai blondes that are on my list to try....
