I can't think of a private high school that does NOT do this, and again, it is not a new, by any means, practice. This was the practice when I entered high school in 1993 in St. Louis, too. You mention "other schools [that] have some kind of ethical standards", by which I interpret to mean "private schools that do not do this kind of thing." Which schools are those? |
My understanding is FH actively continues to recruit, but they only give $$ if there is an actual need, which makes sense. |
BoC only started losing after their top player got injured and could not play. They had to shift everyone into different positions, so the losses came from adjusting the lineup not from lack of skill. They were undefeated most of the season for a reason.

you sound bitter and are very defensive. For the record PVI and Holy Cross took BoC to 4 or 5 sets. The rest of the conference is pretty easy and was BoC at any tournaments where they played other challenging teams? Grow up. |

I’m a different poster, but I think the point is that BoC’s future is quite bright …. They are barely losing any players to graduation in the spring, so will be a powerhouse next year, too, assuming everyone returns healthy.
My quick glance at rosters suggests they are losing a lot less fire power than PVI, HC, or FH. |
HC starting line up isn't graduating PVI strong players aren't graduating FH strong players aren't graduating BoC two best players aren't graduating They ALL have bright futures which is awesome... the better the competion from more schools is fantastic for the sport! |
