Some people have physical disabilities that make moving furniture or appliances to clean behind/underneath them impossible. |

Do they actually deep clean? Because that sounds good if they actually clean out your cabinets and clean, wipe every single surface of every knob in the kitchen, pull furniture out to vacuum and mop, etc.
But in general I think cleaners are a complete waste. Not only do they expose everyone (including themselves) to toxic chemicals, but they only do enough to make it appear clean. They don’t do anything I can’t do in an hour myself. But for the price, I think that’s all you can expect. |
| 600 is fine for a real deep clean. You’d have to ask them to tell you what they actually do in a deep clean, though. |
Years ago we got estimates. Some cleaners didn’t have any extra cost for the first cleaning. Others came with a $1K price tag (pre Covid). You really need to know what you’re getting if you want to compare. The high price tags guaranteed more thorough regular cleanings. Honestly if we had the money I may have done it. I love my house cleaners. They are reliable. They are flexible if I need date changes. They do an ok job. They are so nice. They have never raised the price and we’ve been with them for 8 years - before anyone jumps on me, we offer raises. They don’t break things. They work around us if we need to be there (remote work and school). During Covid they didn’t drop us and because we are in healthcare there was a longer than usual hiatus. Here comes the but. It’s a cursory cleaning. My baseboards, blinds, ceiling fans and other things don’t get cleaned - I just do it myself. But as I said, I really love them so I am not planning on upgrading my service and when I sell I will see f they contract for deep cleans. |
| $500-600 for the first deep clean and $200 for ongoing is reasonable for the size house you mentioned. When my cleaners do a first time deep clean, it usually takes the full day. They are on their hands and knees cleaning baseboards and ensuring the entire home is spotless. Maintenance after that is comparatively easy. Last thing to consider is trustworthiness. Our cleaners have been with us for 10 years and have taken care of the house when we've been traveling for weeks at time. They are beyond careful and honest. |
