Canadian Schools - Any Strong Engineering Programs?

Anonymous
UBC has a specific program and dept to encourage Native American / Indigenous Canadian students.

People make these blanket statements but they're not in full acquisition of the facts.

As usual.

Too many Canadians?

Nah. Almost all white people.

Are you kidding? Engineering programs in Canada are full of Asians!

You obviously haven't spent any time in Toronto or Vancouver.

It will depend on where you're based. Quebec is full of white racists.

One caution. Canadian universities are best for self-starters who will self-advocate. As with many UK colleges, there is much less hand-holding in Canada than is typical for US colleges.

If they are not American, this needs to end. CS programs are now glutted in the US, and if a Silly Valley tech firm is claiming they can’t find a recent grad American for an entry-level position, they are lying.

If you are an American and want to work in engineering in Canada, good luck with that. Canada is far less welcoming to foreign workers than the US.

Not necessarily true. And if you graduate from a Canadian college as an American, you get an auto work permit that can be converted to an app for citizenship after several years
