Loyola University Chicago

My colleague's daughter attended and loved it. Her parents are professors and she wouldn't have thrived at the large state school where they teach. I think she came in undecided and ended up studying classics and German and also continued with marching band. It was a good fit for her and I thought her parents were smart for finding a school suited to her needs and character.

Bumping this up. DC just got in and is seriously considering. I know nothing about this school.

What's it like?
What is the alumni network like for jobs?
How are the dorms and food?
How's the safety around that area?

Does anyone have info on the social life at Loyola Chicago? I know it's a small Jesuit school, and I assume the school is not known as a party school. But, is the social life there still fun? Do they mix with students at Northwestern?

I also noticed that it's like 70% female. How is the dynamic and social life with such a skewed female:male ratio?
