It’s not a sound bite. Statistically, demographically, these “protests” are largely white and middle aged people.

Because, yeah, middle aged white people have a bubble of protection around them from ICE. We're privledged and we can take the risk of being there.

It would be interesting to look at the history of civil rights movements in this country. Did MLK Jr, or Susan B Anthony accomplish all their goals immediately?

I was out today in Montgomery County Maryland, and it was very well attended. There were protests scheduled in the morning that we went to and then another one in the afternoon. Both very well attended. We got a lot of horns honking in support. Even truckers on 270 were honking their horns for us.

I went to the one at NIH. There was a very good turnout — which was nice, given the huge one in DC and smaller ones nearby in Chevy Chase and Friendship Heights, and those are just the ones that I’m aware of.

Middle aged and white is also one of Trump's most reliable demographics, so it's nice to see the pushback.

Small favor: I’m all for the protests, but encouraging folks to honk their horns is distracting and dangerous to other drivers when traveling at highway speeds.
