Most of what you read is for girls soccer recruiting which is totally different. Zev seems to be one of the few who understands the difference for men’s soccer. He’s got some good content posted.

Those sites are only good for finding out when certain schools' camps are taking place. I think the free accounts will get you access to those emails. I would suggest if you get a sniff from a coach (whether he saw you play or just watched your video and responded), visit the campus asap (if you have any interest in going there). Doesn't have to be during a camp. This gives them the impetus to move you further up the list. D3s don't have athletic money to attract players, so they need to know if you really want to go there. Meet with the coaches. They all want to show off their facilities. Do a tour. Then they will ask you to come back for a camp. Now they can put a face to a name and really get an idea of how you can help them. Going to camps blindly is often not the best route to take.

If you have a kid (boy or girl) shooting for a P4 or some other elite school, seems like a good option (and most of his advice and timelines, etc., are really geared to these schools). If your sites are slightly lower, then just follow some of his free advice.

For the D3 my kid is going to in 26, it was one of this primary targets. He emailed them a bunch, etc., and never heard back. Not a peep. Then he scheduled a tour before their ID and the coach took him aside and offered him at lunch. The coach simply didn't think he was serious about going there until he showed up...

No, it was in the northeast. He suddenly has a bunch of D3s and a few more D2s texting him and still trying to fill spots but it feels good to have him committed and all set so we don't have to deal with that kind of stuff.

Congrats! I guess many D3 offers come in the senior year. To anyone else on the journey - trust the process! GL!
