Kitchen remodel cost - no walls being moved

Anonymous
Our remodel was $100K. No walls or utilities moved, layout stayed mostly the same.

-$36K cabinetry + hardware
-$12K countertops (MSI Quartz, highest grade)
-$10K appliances, plumbing fixtures, lights
-$1K backsplash tile, grout, paint
-$3K wood floor refinishing/repair

The rest was labor, which included removing and replacing old water-damaged subfloor and drywall, building a duct and vent to the exterior for the range hood fan, and re-insulating behind the rear wall cabinetry. We used a GC who had plumbing/electric on his team and only hired out the floor refinishing. Design was created with the cabinetry dealer.

Ask for quotes for labor only, you provide materials (meaning sink, counter, etc) as it will allow you to shop where you want (online) and control cost. Order everything prior to letting anyone start.

That's what I do for our kitchen remodel. Four companies quoted around $100k, and I ended up getting custom cabinets from a cabinet maker I found and still only paying around $45k for the kitchen.

Could you share your cabinet maker or how you found them?

About 100k. You can stay at or under that if you go low-mid range finishes, you can go way above that for mid-higher range
